The first installation date in November was cancelled by Halo on the day. Halo reassured us that the installation would be completed within the next week or so. The second date given by Halo, they did not turn up or contact us. E mails, telephone messages and texts mostly no response. Eventually the first stage of panels was finished on 3rd January. Scaffolding has been surrounding our house for 9 weeks and we still have no date from Halo as to when they will complete the installation. We have bent over backwards to help Halo repeatedly taking time off work for nothing to happen. We continue to e mail and text asking for a date. Unless Halo provide us with a confirmed date very soon we will be making a complaint to the relevant bodies.

Very responsive regarding initial visit and survey.
Very accomodating regarding collection of equipment.
Stopped responding to emails, sms texts and phone calls once they got my money.
I'm now left with an uninstalled battery and no aparent hope of getting it installed so it's now just a very large and expensive door stop.
I would advise any one to avoid this company.

A month since the installation and the PV system is still not fully functional. Paperwork still incomplete. Contact is very hit-and-miss since I've signed the contract. Takes days to get any kind of response, if at all. The electrician failed to show 3 times in a row (to fix the issue)and when he finally did he wasn't aware of what he was supposed to be doing. Pretty bad experience overall.

Very Good from start to finish, installed two weeks before original date so that was good. The guys that came were very polite and happy to answer any questions. When they finished, apart from the solar panels and inverter, there was no evidence that they had ever been there. All in all an excellent experience with them and would highly recommend.

Took few days to call and needed asking for formal written quote. Proposal wasnt as professional as other one but offered advice on charge point location to save money, are quite local to us and their quote (while lower power level) was significantly less. Family business and will see how installation goes but scaffolders are here this weekend which bodes well.

Hiring this company was a mistake. Communication and information was negligible; the original agreed roof array arrangement was altered without consultation; the property was damaged by the scaffolding company and nothing has been done to rectify it; holes in the brickwork were filled with moss; the quality of the panel installation looks unfinished with long uneven lengths of mounting rail extending beyond the edge of the panels; a broken roof tile was thrown into the flower border; the wrong remote display was sent and a request about the replacement has been ignored; it is over two weeks after the system was working and no certification for setting up SEG tariff payment has been received.
Some weeks ago I was advised by HIES to issue a 14 day warning to the company but little has been been done to satisfactorily conclude the contract and I will go into dispute if nothing is done to address my concerns as from today.
I would definitely not recommend Halo Renewables Ltd. In my opinion they have been unreliable and inconsiderate costing me a lot of time and anxiety.

I believe this review unfair as I’ve communicated with you at all times , this review is based on Halo the damage to your water can was done by the scaffolding company ,the cement that needs filling to be completed by the scaffolding company and I’ve seen the email by Konnor to confirm this will be completed,you also point out the WiFi monitor which I explained due to the current import situation there are delays ,I’ve sent all paperwork to your email as I do for every client.

I have left a more detailed review for Matt Stevens and Halo Renewables through a link he sent me, but in sum they are a friendly, professional team, whom didn't cut corners. Matt met queries openly & helpfully, waited patiently for my decision, enabled negotiation re best panel/battery system v price, & offered promotions too which I did benefit from. Not necessarily the cheapest, but local to me. The team and I had to be flexible because of poor weather conditions and implications then on the installation but scaffolding going up to scaffolding coming down was 3 weeks, with the installation taking place on 3 days over a 2 week period in amongst that. I have a smart looking, highly capable system - just need to optimise usage and hope for good solar production weather here on in.

Matthew from Halo Renewables seemed both enthusiastic and knowlegeable, and so we proceeded with his recommendation of a combination of SolarEdge and GivEnergy products, including an EV charger and immersion heater controller. Installation of the 18 panel flat roof PV array was carried out efficiently, but an extra day was required to complete the installation, although omitting the immersion controller, as there was concern about RF communication over distances. One thing Matthew hadn't made clear is that manufacturers use separate portals for monitoring, so the SolarEdge portal has no knowledge of the GivEnergy battery and the GivEnergy portal has no knowledge of the EV charger. Worse than that, the GivEnergy portal erroneously reports 1.8 kWh PV generation when the EV charger is connected. We're currently waiting for this issue to be resolved. Given that Halo Renewables use this combination of hardware frequently, we would have expected them to know (and inform us) about the compatibility issues.
