Solar Power UK Conference just two months away
The Solar Power UK Conference 2010 takes place on October 18-19 and will be the first official event of the Solar Power Group - the voice of the Solar Power industry in the UK.
The two-day conference and exhibition, which will attract up to 400 delegates from the solar sector, takes place at the home of the Institution of Engineering Technology (IET) at Savory Place in the heart of London.
The theme of the conference is 'Enabling the UK solar market for 2011′ with a focus on supply, cost and the rapid growth in demand for solar power in the UK.
The event comes just four months after the 'Doing Solar Business in the UK' meeting in Munich on June 8 where members of the UK solar market agreed it could reach 250MW installed in 2011 if managed correctly. The aim of the upcoming Solar Power UK Conference is to ensure all members of the sector come together to further discussing accomplishing this target.
Various top figures from the solar industry will be speaking at the conference and it will focus on potential projects that will generate more than 150MW of solar power generation next year. This includes discussion about the legal framework surrounding installations and the financing required to back it but is also designed as an education service for surveyors, planners, local governments and public-private partnerships about the benefits of switching to solar PV.
As well as the exhibition, there is also a Gala Networking Dinner on the first evening of the conference. The 180-exclusive ticket-only dinner will be an opportunity for companies to meet and develop relationships in a relaxed environment of potential buyers and decision makers.
