Our feedback
New Solar PV Installation in London
I was contacted and an appointment made straight away. I met with Ewan who was very informative and professional. A booklet had been prepared with all the information about the product and a price which was higher than I had anticipated. A better price was negotiated and I liked the fact that they were local to me and when researched the company had a lot of positive comments. Scaffolding erected promptly but not on the day I expected.
On installation day two installers attended and got about the installation in a responsible non intrusive manner. Very capable, respectful workers. Clean and tidy. All work done on the day and I was up and running. Very pleased.
I was surprised at the amount of electrical equipment that was installed. Two quite large units in the attic, a couple of units in the cupboard housing the fuse box, another box in the airing cupboard and a cable running from bottom to top. Potentially quite disruptive however I had the space and it all fitted in fine.
During my conversation with Ewan he did say, as had others, that it would be beneficial to change suppliers to Octopus Energy. This I did straight away to find out that it could have been done through the Company. Just a slight inconvenience as it would have been beneficial to mention that beforehand.
Ewan set up the account enabling me to download an App to see what was happening even if I don't fully understand at the moment. He has promised to drop in and explain everything.
Overall I had a very positive experience and only did not give a 5 star rating because of the little glitches I mentioned. I am very pleased with my decision to go with them and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Repair of a Solar PV System in Bristol
These are the only people who responded. Consequently it was not possible to make a cost comparison with any other installer. It certainly was dealt with a.s.a.p. Sean rang up on Sunday and was able to add our job into their schedule for Monday week. They fitted a new inverter and sixteen (one for each panel) optimisers. The cost was £3,500 including VAT which my wife commented seemed a lot for a morning's work. Certainly it has added 3/4 years more to the period before we cover the cost of this investment. The only adverse comment, I wish his young lad would take his cigarette butts home, and not dump them in my drive.
